I recently purchased a 1986 Savage, and it has a sidestand warning light for if you leave the sidestand down. The spring was missing so I ordered one. I'm not sure if I put it on correctly, because the light stays on when you put the stand up, I need to put the stand down and bring it back up 2 or 3 times before the light goes out. Any ideas? I understand that the '86 was the only one to have this light, the later models had an engine cutoff if you left the sidestand down, I believe. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated... -Linda
